General Rules: Feats - Launching Strike

Launching Strike [Alvari, Arcane Battle] (from the Book of Iron Might)
You draw magical power to yourself and focus it on your weapon, transforming it into a powerful surge of raw force as you slam an opponent with a vicious strike, sending him soaring into the air.
    Prerequisites: Alvari, Arcane Battle Mastery, Arcane Weapon, Flattening Strike, Knockback Strike, Power Attack, Concentration 6+ ranks, BAB +16.
    Benefit: As a swift action, you may decide to use this ability before an attack. If your attack hits, your foe must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + ½ your base attack bonus + your Charisma modifier) or fly straight upwards a number of feet equal to double the points of damage you inflicted. He immediately falls, landing prone in the space he occupied before you launched him, and suffers falling damage as normal. If your attack misses, this use of the ability is wasted. This ability may be used a number of times per day equal to your base attack bonus divided by 8, rounded down.
    Special: If you are an alvari from the evocation birth school, you are especially adept with the powers granted by this feat. You may add your birth school spell power to the save DC required to resist being launched upwards. In addition, on a successful Launching Strike, you may add your birth school spell power to the distance in feet that your target is launched upwards. Further, you may use this ability one additional time per day.
