Campaign Design - Spells: Felonious Friend III

Felonious Friend III (found in Spells & Spellcraft)
Conjuration (Creation)

Level: Bard 6, Sorcerer/Wizard 6

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 feet + 5 feet per 2 caster levels)
Target, Effect, or Area: One invisible, mindless, shapeless servant
Duration: 30 minutes per caster level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

By means of this spell, you create an invisible mindless force that duplicates the effects of unseen servant with all the normal limitations. In addition to performing all the normal functions of an unseen servant, the felonious friend III can pick pockets as a rogue with a Sleight of Hand skill bonus equal to your caster level + 3. This ability is subject to all the normal restrictions, though a Spot check that beats the Sleight of Hand check only reveals that something is being taken - it does not reveal the invisible thief. In addition, the felonious friend III can also Disable Device and Open Locks, also as a rogue with skill ranks equal to your caster level + 3.

Further, the felonious friend III can engage in combat, attacking with the Base Attack Bonus of a rogue of your caster level, using the dagger that serves as the focus for the spell as its weapon (dealing 1d4 - 4 points of damage on a successful strike). Alternatively, it can attack with any other weapon you provide for it to use - it is proficient with all of the weapons that a rogue is proficient with. If it is supplied with a masterwork or magical weapon, the felonious friend III gains the usual benefits such weapons provide in combat. Since it is invisible and silent, it can also potentially sneak attack with its attacks. It can provide a flanking bonus to you and your allies, and can benefit from flanking bonuses as well. The felonious friend III is incorporeal, enjoying all the advantages this gives in combat. It has only six hit points and has an Armor Class of 20.

Arcane focus: A set of thieves' tools and a dagger.

Arcane material component: A piece of string, a bit of wood, and a sharpened copper coin.
