Campaign Design - Spells: Plague Ball

Range: Long (400 feet + 40 feet per caster level)

The character determines the range (distance and height) at which the plague ball is to burst. Am opaque bead of ochre gel streaks from the character, and unless it strikes a material body or or solid barrier prior to attaining the prescribed range, blossoms into the spread effect at that point - an early impact results in an early detonation. If the character attempts to send the bead through a narrow passage, such as through an arrow slit, the character must "hit" the opening with a ranged touch attack or else the bead strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely.

When the bead detonates, all those within the area of effect must make a Fortitude saving throw or contract a random disease that strikes without the standard incubation period. Determine the exact disease each individual contracts using the the table to the right.
