General Rules: Feats - Shunt Focus

Shunt Focus [Metamagic] (from the Player's Guide to Wizards, Bards, and Sorcerers)
Some magic is such that its power is traditionally grounded into the one who weaves its energies. Some skilled spellcasters are known to have developed the ability to ground that energy into another being.
Benefit: Spells with the "You" target prepared with this feat are treated as though they were "Touch" target spells. This allows you to cast spells onto others that would normally only affect you. These spells may be cast upon an unwilling target with a melee touch attack, though the target is permitted a Will save in order to avoid the effects of the spell.

A shunted spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell's actual level.
