Groundhogs, or woodchucks, are large rodents known for their burrowing habits. An average groundhog is 20 inches long with six to seven inch long tail. They weigh between 6 and 12 pounds. Groundhogs have brown fur, a round body with a small bushy tail and short, strong legs with curved claws for burrowing. A groundhog's small, round eyes and ears are located on the top of a flat head and their mouth sports two long, ever-growing incisors.

Combat
Groundhogs flee from potential danger, usually taking refuge in the safety of their underground dens.

Skills: Groundhogs gains a+4 racial bonus to Hide, Move Silently, and Listen checks.

Groundhogs as Familiars
Groundhogs can serve as familiars for characters eligible to obtain familiars including arcane engineers, hexblades, mind weavers, shadowsworn, sorcerers, and wizards. Arcane casters with groundhog familiars gain a +2 bonus on Fortitude.
