Renewed focus bends time slightly, allowing the target to perform a normal round of activity and invoke renewed focus at the end of the reound to instantly gain the benefits of having refocused their initiative. In he next round (and all subsequent rounds of the current combat), the caster is moved in the initiative order to the position they would have been in if they had rolled a 20 for their initiative roll.
