Clairsentience creates an invisible magical sensor at a specific location that enables you to see, hear, feel, smell, or taste anything that could be sensed if you were there. Heat, cold, and vibration can be felt, odors and airborne vapors sense through smell or taste, sounds heard, and sights seen. Odors or vapors and poisons are not harmful when sensed through this spell, but harmful sounds or sights (such as the gaze of a medusa or basilisk the wail of a banshee) retain their dangerous properties. The range of each sense is dependent on the sense in question and the local conditions such as wind, light, and so on.
You do not need line of sight or line of effect, but the locale must be known - a place familiar to you or an obvious one, such as behind a door, around a corner, or in a grove of trees. You can move the sensor at a rate of 5 feet every five rounds, and you can rotate it in all directions to view the area as desired. Surfaces and vibrations can be felt, substances tasted, and so on so long as the sensor is brought into contact with the appropriate substance or surface. Unlike other scrying spells, this spell does not allow magically or supernaturally enhanced senses to work through it. If the chosen locale is magically dark, you see nothing. If it is naturally pitch black, you can see in a 10-foot radius around the center of the spell’s effect.
Clairsentience functions only on the plane of existence you are currently occupying.
Arcane Focus: A small horn and a glass eye.
