You gain spell resistance 20 against the next spell or spell-like ability that targets you or include you in its area of effect. Once one spell or spell-like ability is affected, the protection dissipates. You cannot apply this protection selectively; the spell does not distinguish between helpful and harmful magic, nor does it distinguish between the spells of the caster and other characters. The caster may only be affected by spells with a range of Personal.
