Track by Scent [General, Khülen, Savage Humanoid] (adapted from the Player's Guide to Rangers and Rogues)
Your sense of smell is so great that you can pick up the scent of your quarry.
Prerequisites: Wisdom 15+, Track.
Benefit: You can detect other creatures within 30 feet by sense of smell alone. if the quarry is upwind, the range increases to 60 feet; if the quarry is downwind the range drops to 15 feet. When you detect a scent, you are not aware of the exact location of the creature within that range. Determining the direction of the scent is a move action. If you move within 5 feet of the source of the scent, you can determine its exact positioning. When tracking by scent, the character must make a Survival check. The DC for a fresh trail of any kind is 10. The DC increases or decreases depending on the creature's odor, as well as the number of creatures tracked and the gae the the trail. For each hour that passes, the DC increases by 2. In all other respects, this feat follows the normal rules for tracking except that the effects of surface conditions and poor visibility may be ignored.
Special: A character with this feat gains a +3 synergy bonus on all Survival checks made in conjunction with the Track feat.
Normal: A character without this feat cannot attempt to track by scent alone.
